Situation after the eruption of Fuego Volcano

We are concerned about the effects of the eruption of the Fuego volcano and have received your inquiry. Thank you.
Antigua was not directly affected, the ash fall has been cleaned up, and life is now completely back to normal. The airport is also functioning as normal.
Tourist destinations outside of Antigua are also unaffected and can be visited as usual.

Postal conditions

As of November 2016, mail cannot be sent from Guatemala due to disruption in Guatemala's postal administration.In addition, mail recipients have to wait months to receive their mail or have their packages sent back due to understaffing caused by non-payment of salaries to post office workers.For the time being, it is best not to send or receive packages by mail.
